Monday August 11, 10pm show: Valerie's Yoshi's Oakland debut! Yoshi's is THE premiere jazz club in the Bay Area. She will be performing with the Eddie Gale band, featuring a special line-up including Kidd Jordan (saxophonist from New Orleans) and William Parker (bassist from New York), plus other guest artists. Tickets are $10 for the 10pm show. For more info and to order tickets, click here.
Saturday September 13, 2008, 7pm: Eddie Gale's Inner Peace Orchestra performs at the First Congregational United Church in Santa Cruz (900 High Street, Santa Cruz, CA). Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
One of my goals is to make my music available to anyone who would be enriched by hearing it. Sunday July 27, 2008, 6-7pm: Outdoor performance with the Eddie Gale Band at the North Beach Jazz Festival, Washington Square Park (corner of Columbus & Union), San Francisco.
Sunday July 27, 2008, 9-11pm: Performance at Mojito's club (1337 Grant Ave, SF) with the Eddie Gale Band.

Congrats on your CD. Finally found u on the Internet. Tried to get added to ur myspace but I think that is better left for your artist/musician friends. Keep the riff raff out ;) what is ur new last name? it was one question that stumped me on Myspace.

Two exceptional musicians joined me in creating the evening's music - Bill Noertker on contrabass and Andre Custodia on drums & congas. Valerie Mih's Circular Dreaming trio will be performing the evening of Sunday April 6 at the Musician's Union Hall in San Francisco (located at 116 9th Street at Mission). This is a very special evening of Valerie's original compositions set in a classic jazz piano trio format. Valerie (on grand piano) will be joined by the multi-talented Bill Noertker on acoustic bass and the dynamic Andre Custodio on drums. If you like modern jazz, you will love this evening of music! There will be 2 sets, one at 7:30pm and the second at 9pm. Admission is $10, no advance purchase necessary. Hope to see you there! - Valerie

Thanks to everyone who attended the Circular Dreaming show in downtown Oakland on Nov. 28, 2007! The performance was held at 21 Grand, a gallery and performance space dedicated to experimental and alternative music. I was joined by 2 wonderful musicians: Carla Kaufman on bass and Dante James on drums. This jazz trio performance of my compositions was complemented by video projection, notably an original motion graphics work by Marco Salsiccia for the piece "Circular Dreaming." Circular Dreaming will be presenting a new show of music and visuals on Nov. 28 at the 21 Grand Performance Space (416 25th Street, Oakland, CA 94612). The show runs from 8-9:30pm, and admission is $5-10 sliding scale. The performance will feature a jazz trio format, with Valerie Mih on piano, Carla Kaufman on acoustic bass and Dante James on drums.
